Philander Johnson on Optimism
Cheer up, the worst is yet to come. ~ Philander Johnson
We can worry about what might happen in the future but the truth is our worrying does not change what is meant to happen. We can spend our time worrying, sulking, and being miserable, or we can enjoy the moment at its full and deal with every little thing as it comes along. Moreover, worrying clouds our thinking and makes us take bad decisions. Maybe the worst will come, but maybe not, so all we have is the present, for which we are in full control.
