It’s always a great feeling to know that there is someone who keeps you secure. Many of us think that being in love is all about having someone who completes us. And it’s probably true. But more than that, being in love is having someone who lets us grow freely and flourish on our own but still guards us all the time. Someone who we can think of 24/7 and not get tired of it.

And these moments can be bottled and revisited because love is magical like that.

The thing about love is that while it’s a great feeling, it never tolerates that we look at it as a competition. Love is doing a great job in keeping us on track. So it doesn’t really matter if you are someone’s first, second, or twelfth. What matters if you exert efforts on being her last. Love is a beautiful thing, but not all lasts long. It is our job to find that one person to love for the rest of our lives.

Defining forever is a tedious and useless task. Because first off, there’s not enough words to define it and second, trying to do so is going to be a complete waste of time. Instead of defining forever, it would be a lot better if we experience it with someone we love and who loves us just as much. And we’ll know if we’re experiencing forever because it tickles us from the inside. It makes love flow through our veins.

There is beauty in everything and this is something we must keep in mind. Just like knowing where we’re supposed to be, being lost is also a beautiful thing, especially if we lose ourselves in others. Some kinds of love are about being found. But there’s also the kind where being lost don’t feel so bad that we end up wanting to be lost. Because sometimes, being lost in someone else, far from the chaos of this world, it’s a great experience.

I guess it’s human nature for us to find a reason to everything. We enjoy knowing the cause and effect of things. Being in love is the total opposite. It teaches us that knowing no reason for something is okay too. This is probably why there are things we do, especially for our loved ones, and we unknowingly don’t care if we don’t know the reason for doing those things. This may sound weird but then again, love is weird.

When we meet that person who we can call perfect someone, we tend to want to give her everything. We want to give her everything we can and then a little more. We want her to experience the things she hasn’t experience yet, and we want to be by her side when she explores this bigger world. That’s one of the many beauties of love. It teaches us how to give and how to appreciate what is given to us in return.
