1. Roy Corft on Changing for the Better
I love you, not for what you are, but for what I am with you. ~ Roy Croft
Maybe we can say love is another word for selflessness. See, it’s not all about happy moments worthy of selfies and social media sharing. When true love hits you, you tend to want to be a better person. You would want to be an improved version of yourself. Because love is not all about who you love. It’s also about who you want to be, for yourself and for your loved one. And we all want to experience this.
2. Lisa Brooks on Thinking
You will always be the answer, when somebody asks me what I’m thinking about. ~ Lisa Brooks
There is a lot that love teaches us constantly. Aside from letting us feel so much and teaching us how to manage all those feelings, love makes sure we learn to control the power of thinking. It’s beautiful to have someone in your mind. It’s a good sign of love. But we must keep in mind that thinking of ourselves and caring for ourselves is just as important. We don’t know what tomorrow brings, so we should always be able to stand on our own, in love or not.
3. J.R.R. Tolkien on Living a Lifetime
I would rather spend one lifetime with you, than face all the ages of this world alone. ~ J.R.R. Tolkien
Isn’t it a great feeling, when we know we have someone by our side? Love can be tricky in more ways than one, but it always gives us the sign. Love always lets us know when the person we’re with is the person whom we can live with for a lifetime. Because let’s face it, this world can be cruel, and having someone by our side, to walk this world with us, is a great chance to have.
4. On Seeing the Beauty of Life
I look at you and see the rest of my life in front of my eyes. ~ Unknown
Love is the best mirror if you want a reflection that does not lie. Mirrors can be deceiving, so you can consider yourself lucky if you’ve found true love. Because with that person, you can always see the real you, flaws and all. And that person won’t care about these flaws. It’s a good feeling to feel accepted and welcome into a long, precarious life but can still be a good life too, if you let it be.
5. Leo Christopher on Loving Today and Tomorrow
I swear I couldn’t love you more than I do right now, and yet I know I will tomorrow. ~ Leo Christopher
There are countless ways to celebrating the beauty of love, and one of the most common would be anniversaries. But of course, we can celebrate the beauty of love every single day. And usually, this kind of love is the one that lasts long. Because we don’t know how much love we can give until we’ve already given it. Sometimes, we know we can give more and other times, we’re unsure. It’s probably best to celebrate by giving away love and knowing we can give that much.
6. Mr. Darcy on Loving with All of You
You have bewitched me, body and soul, and I love… I love… I love you. ~ Mr. Darcy
Loving was never an easy feat, and it probably never will be. Needless to say, there will be some people who will enter our lives and teach our body and soul the things we don’t know about love. They will come to our doorstep and they will allow us to love them as little or as much as we can, however we know. These kind of people are worthy not only of our love but also of our respect.
7. On Loving Longer
I wish I could turn back the clock. I’d find you sooner and love you longer. ~ Unknown
When in love, we could easily come up with a really long wish list. And here’s tip: instead of wishing something impossible, wish for something possible. Life takes its course even if we ask it to pause, because it doesn’t know pause, nor stop. So instead of wishing and trying to go back, let’s just make the most of today and tomorrow. Let’s just show that person we love dearly how today can be beautiful and tomorrow can look just the same, only more beautiful.
8. Leo Christopher on Madness
There is a madness in loving you, a lack of reason that makes it feel so flawless. ~ Leo Christopher
The thing about love is that it doesn’t require reason. There are instances in life where we fall in love with someone because she’s nice and kind and many other characteristics. There are also instances in life where we fall in love with someone because we just do – no reason and no questions. That kind of love is but a rarity and more often than not, flawless. It’s a love we wouldn’t want to hesitate to give because it’s meant to be given, to be expressed.
